Description:

This error message is displayed in any one of the following cases: 
 

  • You are not authorized to perform a privileged operation.
     
  •  Veritas Operations Manager Management (VOM) Server may not get refreshed. This problem can happen in the following cases:

    • There may be a communication failure between Management Server and the managed host.
       
    • The host is no longer part of the Veritas Operations Manager domain. The package has been uninstalled without removing it from Veritas Operations Manager.  This action may result in the presence of stale objects in the user interface and database.

  • If you are not authorized to perform a privileged operation, log on as a privileged user who is authorized to perform the specified operation.
     
  • If the host is no longer part of the Veritas Operations Manager domain, remove the host from Veritas Operations Manager. To remove the host from VOM, follow these steps:

    • Select Start > Settings > Host Management > host_name. Check the Last Ping Time column. If it is more than 10 minutes, there is a communication problem between Management Server and the managed host. To resolve this problem, launch the Remove Host operation.
       
    • After the host is removed from Veritas Operations Manager, reinstall the package on the managed host and add the host to the Veritas Operations Manager domain.
