Description:

This message occurs when the Central Management Server (CMS) database service for Veritas Operations Manager (VOM), that is SQL Anywhere - SFM3_hostname, is not started. There can be many reasons for this message, including:

 

  • The database crashes.
     
  • The server is rebooted and the database does not start before the service times out.

To solve the problem:

  1. Launch the Microsoft Windows Services Applet.
     
  2. Select the SQL Anywhere - SFM3_hostname service.
     
  3. Select Action > Start.
