Description:

This error occurs when a client, like veainfo, cannot contact the Veritas Enterprise Administrator service (vxsvc), which is the domain controller to fetch the objects. 
 

The following issues can cause this problem:
 
  • Issues in the network configuration
     
  • The vxsvc process is down
