Description: Before you remove a volume that is part of a snapshot hierarchy, you must remove the snapshot relation.

 

Solution:

  1. Bring the snapshot volume out of the snapshot hierarchy:

    vxsnap -g disk_group_name dis snapvol
     
  2. Remove the volume:

    vxassist -g disk_group_name remove volume volume_name
