Error Code details
V-5-1-11169
Severity: n/a
Component: Volume Manager
Message:
Unable to read EFI VTOC
Description:

An error occurred while updating the EFI label.

The vxdisksetup command uses the VxVM internal command, vxedvtoc, to update the EFI VTOC. First, vxedvtoc tries to read the standard VTOC. If it fails, it tries to read and write the EFI label. The vxedvtoc command uses the system call efi_write to update the EFI label.

To get the device name, enter:

vxdisk -e list

Verify that the disk is visible and available to the operating system using the following command:

If it is not, make sure that the LUN is physically connected to the server. If the LUN is connected and the problem persists, check the storage network for a problem and correct it.
