To see what VxVM-related licenses you have, run the following command:

vxdctl license

The output will look similar to the following, except that “Site Awareness” will be missing:

All features are available:
 Mirroring
 Root Mirroring
 Concatenation
 Disk-spanning
 Striping
 RAID-5
 RAID-5 Snapshot
 VxSmartSync
 Array Snapshot Integration Feature
 FastResync
 DGSJ
 Site Awareness
 DMP (multipath enabled)
 CDS
 Dynamic LUN Expansion
 Hardware assisted copy

If “Site Awareness” is not in the list and you want to use it, add an Enterprise license. Use the vxlicinst command to add a new license.

After you add an Enterprise license, run the following command to refresh the cached license information that vxconfigd maintains:

vxdctl license init
