Failed to remove PdAtXtd object
Description:

This message displays in a vSCSI environment; that is, when the server has virtual SCSI devices configured and Veritas Dynamic Multi-Pathing (DMP) is controlling them.

This message can occur when you disable DMP for vSCSI devices. To enable DMP for vSCSI devices, you add ODM definitions for these devices. This includes adding ODM entries into different ODM classes. PdAtXtd is one of these classes.

When you disable DMP, you remove the definitions from ODM. That operation can fail, resulting the message above.

Do one of the following:

  • Redisable DMP for vSCSI devices. Enter:

    vxddladm disablevscsi
     
  • If you are a system administrator, you can delete all the objects from the PdAtXtd object class that meet certain search criteria. Enter:

    odmdelete -o PdAtXtd -q "uniquetype=disk/vscsi/dmpvdisk"
