This message is displayed when you cannot create or start a volume in a Veritas cluster volume manager shared disk group, or import the shared disk group.

Content:
  1. Make sure that the vxconfigd process is running all the system participating in the cluster. Enter:

    # vxdctl mode

    The command output should return enabled.
     
  2. If the command output in step 1 indicates a state other than enabled, restart vxconfigd on that node. Enter:

    # vxdctl enable
     
  3. Reenter the command that failed.
