When any volume operation such as make, grow, shrink, etc is performed with some storage attributes specified, and if none of the disks present in the disk group satisfy those attributes, then this error message appears. For instance, on a system having hitachi disks only, while creating a volume, if you specify enclr : emc as a storage attribute, then above mentioned error is shown.
