'The -A option is used with vxassist command to create atomic-write capable volumes or to get maximum size with which atomic-write capable volume can be created. Atomic-write IO feature is currently supported only for concat volumes. Hence, when the user specifies –A option with vxassist command with non-concat layout, the given error message is displayed. For instance, if you specify vxassist command with-A option and layout=mirror, the following error message is displayed:
# vxassist -g dg1 -A make vol1 1g layout=mirror
VxVM vxassist ERROR V-5-1-18607 -A option is supported only on concat volumes.
