Format error in disk private region

This message is displayed under the following situations:


  1. Disk private region consists of header, table of contents (TOC) and configuration database. TOC maps the contents of disk. TOC entries on the disk private region are accessed during various disk operations such as initializing disk private region, reading and validating table of contents of the disk, checking disk header etc. During most of the accesses, the contents read are validated. If any invalid information such as invalid offset, invalid checksum or invalid magic is found, this message is displayed.
  2. While scanning the disk for disk header, if valid private region header is not found at various default locations, and the disk is found to be LVM disk, this message is displayed.

Rebuild the configuration copies from the backup copies stored at the location /etc/vx/cbr/bk/.
