This message displays if the specified diskgroup does not exist during either of the following operations:

  • #  vxdg -g diskgroup_name free media

    This operation lists the free space that can be used to allocate new subdisks.
  • # vxdg -g diskgroup_name spare media

    This operation lists the spare space that can be used to relocate some of the subdisks during recovery.

  • Check the disk group name you specified with the -g option in the command line.
  • If you are not sure of the disk group and if you do not specify the -g option, the above commands display the required information for all disk groups in the system.
