can not add DRL log to instant ready Volume %s
Description:

The message displays when you enable dirty region logging (DRL) but it is already enabled in the form of version 20 DCO on the mirrored volume. Because version 20 DCO has DRL capability in-built, it doesn't allow attaching DRL log plex. The version 20 DCO was implicitly added to the volume and make it an instant ready volume if:
 

  • The volume is created in a campus-cluster (metro-cluster) environment where storage belong to different sites, or
     
  • The volume is created on thin-provisioned LUNs.

If you just want to enable DRL on the mirrored volume, no action is required. If you don't want the version 20-based DCO, use the following command to dissociate:
 

vxsnap unprepare vol

Note: The version 20 DCO is not compatible with legacy DCO or DRL. If you dissociate version 20 DCO and associate legacy DCO or DRL, you cannot use Instant Snapshot features which include Space-optimized snapshots, instant full image snapshots, and so on.
