If your error is not listed among the solutions here, the error message text after the colon (:) includes the operating system-specific reason that the kernel devices cannot open.
Solution
Correct the problem based on the information in the error message.
An error occurs when loading the vxio and/or the vxdmp modules. The modules are either already loaded or fail to load. As a result, vxconfigd fails to start.
Solution
If the vxio and/or the vxdmp modules fail to load, use the modload command to load them. If the attempt is unsuccessful, use modloadadd_drv.tentvxconfigd to load them.
