$_disk: Public and private regions overlap
Description:

While converting Veritas Volume Manager (VxVM) disks or disk groups to CDS (Cross-platform Data Sharing) format using vxcdsconvert command, the system checks and updates actual disk private and public region offsets and lengths. The public and private region should meet at least one of the following conditions:

  1. Private region is before public region.
  2. Private region is after public region.
  3. Private region is wholly present within public region in case of root encapsulated disks.

If some part of the private region comes within the public region, this message is displayed. It occurs mostly when private region starts at offset greater than the defined offset, because some public region data is placed in some part of private region area.

Add more disks to disk group and move public region data present in the private region area to those disks to avoid the overlap.
