Message:
This script can be used to convert a root file system back from using a volume to using a disk partition directly. If there are major problems with the volume manager configurations, then this may be the fastest way to get your system up and running (though without use of many other file systems or applications that cannot be converted from using volumes). This script operates by converting system files so that they no longer require VxVM in booting the root file system. This script also disables startup of VxVM, so that future recovery of a mirrored root volume does not cause corruption. You should be very careful, after running this script, when bringing up the volume manager again. If your VxVM configuration retains a mirrored root volume, then startup of the volume manager may cause severe corruption to your root file system.
