VERITAS Volume Manager VxVM %%VERSION%% upgrade start script This script checks for problems that prevent the system from being upgraded from previous releases of Volume Manager to the VxVM %%VERSION%% release of the VERITAS Volume Manager. The steps involved in an upgrade include converting key file systems defined on volumes into disk partitions and removal of the previous VxVM package before the VxVM %%VERSION%% package is installed. Rootdisk is not allowed to have more than 5 partitions. Two remaining partitions are used by VxVM. upgrade_finish will not handle, if we create a partition on rootdisk after upgrade_start. Volumes other than in root disk will not be accessible! If you need to make these volumes manually accessible, consult the release/install notes.
