V-52410-33081-94 - The service group '<FireDrill_type_service_group_name>' seems to be an obsolete Fire Drill service group. It is recommended that obsolete Fire Drill service groups be deleted. Do you want the wizard to delete it? Press "Yes", if you are sure that it was created by Fire Drill wizard and want to delete it. Otherwise press "No" to continue without deletion.

Possible causes

This error is typically seen when the fire drill service group configuration information maintained by the Fire Drill Wizard is not the same as the actual configuration on the servers.

This could occur as follows:

The Fire Drill Wizard uses a naming convention for the fire drill service group and some underlying components that it configures. For example, the service group name would typically be <FD00_application_service_group_name>. Also it maintains some information on the fire drill configuration that it created.
When you close down the wizard and re-launch it later, it will search its configuration information for the appropriate fire drill configuration on the server (in case of multiple fire drill configurations for a common failover node).
If the Fire Drill Wizard finds its configuration information to be different from the actual configuration on the server, it considers the existing fire drill service group to be an obsolete entry in its configuration information.
Because of this mismatch the wizard is unable to perform any operations on the fire drill service group. Otherwise, if the wizard continued, further misconfiguration and failed steps could occur.
Therefore, the Fire Drill Wizard displays this message to prompt you to delete the existing fire drill service group.
After deleting this obsolete fire drill service group, you can run the wizard again to create a fresh new fire drill configuration.

Solution

The following actions may apply:

Read the error message to confirm that the fire drill service group that you have been prompted to delete by the Fire Drill Wizard is actually a service group that you want to delete. If so click Yes. Otherwise click No.
After deleting the fire drill configuration, snap abort the fire drill plexes manually (if the Fire Drill Wizard has failed to do so) to recover the disk space used during the fire drill process.
After deleting the fire drill configuration, re-launch the Fire Drill Wizard to create a fresh new fire drill configuration.
If you select not to delete the service group in question, you can proceed in the normal workflow to configure a new Fire Drill setup.
