V-52410-33081-96 - The wizard is going to skip the IP-Lanman input page, as the count of either the IP or Lanman resource(s) does not equal 1. Please manually edit the "Address" attribute of the IP resource(s) and the "VirtualName" attribute of the Lanman resource(s) in the Fire Drill service group, after it is created.

Possible causes

This error is typically displayed by the Fire Drill Wizard when the application service group selected for the fire drill contains more than one IP or Lanman resources.

The Fire Drill Wizard can handle exactly one IP and one Lanman resource. If there is more than one, the wizard will skip creating the IP and Lanman resources, and you will need to create them manually.

Solution

The following actions are recommended:

When this message is shown, allow the wizard to complete the step of preparing the fire drill configuration.
After this step, before you proceed any further, configure the IP and Lanman resources using either the VCS Java Console or the CLI, as follows.

To perform the steps using the VCS Java Console:

To perform the steps using the CLI:
          1.      Connect to the server on which the fire drill service group has been configured.
          2.      Launch a command prompt.
          3.      Type the following command and note the names of the multiple IP and/or Lanman resources configured in the fire drill service group:
            hares -state
            4.      For each of the IP resources configured under the fire drill service group, execute the following command:
              hares -res <ip_resource_name> Address ?<virtual_ip_address>?
where <ip_resource_name> is the name of the IP resource in the fire drill service group and <virtual_ip_address> is the unique IP address to be provided.
            5.      For each of the IP resources configured under the fire drill service group, execute the following command:
            6.      hares -res <Lanman_resource_name> Virtualname ?<virtual_server_name>?
where <Lanman_resource_name> is the name of the Lanman resource for which the virtual server name is to be assigned and <virtual_server_name> is the virtual server name to be provided.
          1.      Connect to the server on which the fire drill service group has been configured.
          2.      Go to the fire drill service group that has the multiple IP or Lanman resources.
          3.      Add a unique virtual IP address into the ?Address? attribute of each IP resource in the fire drill service group.
          4.      Add a unique virtual Lanman name into the ?Virtualname? attribute of each of the Lanman resources configured in the fire drill service group.
The rest of the attributes have been configured by the Fire Drill Wizard.
