V-52410-33094-16 - Based on the recommended action, some volumes may require to be recreated causing any data that exists on the original volume to be lost. Note that, recreate volume operation will fail if the target volume has been configured as a VCS resource in any Service Group. Before proceeding, make sure that the volumes are not under VCS control and the data on these volumes has been backed up.

Possible causes

This error message is typically displayed by the Disaster Recovery wizard when the storage configured at the secondary site has a different layout from that of the primary site.

For example, corresponding volumes may exist on the secondary site system with the same names as on the primary site. However, the size of one or more of the volumes on the secondary site is larger than on the primary site.

In such a situation, the Disaster Recovery wizard will delete the existing volumes on the secondary site and re-create them to match the volume layout on the primary site.

Solution

If you require the data on the volumes on the secondary site, back them up to some other location before you proceed. Otherwise the data is lost when the volumes are deleted and re-created.
