V-52410-49479-345 - Wizard failed to discover cluster '<cluster_name>' using address '<IP_address_of_cluster_name>'. Discovery returned the following error:'Failed to perform the requested operation on '<cluster_address_of_other_DR_site>'. Ensure the system is reachable; the required services are running and are not blocked by a firewall. 'For multiple GCO configuration, ensure that the ClusterService service group is online at the existing sites so that the wizard can discover them using the Cluster IP address.

Possible causes

This error message is typically displayed by the Disaster Recovery wizard when the ClusterService service group has some configuration discrepancies on the primary site servers.

This could possibly mean:

A Global Cluster (GCO) or the ClusterService service group is already configured on the primary site. However, it is not configured correctly or not configured as required for a Disaster Recovery setup.
A Global Cluster (GCO) or the ClusterService service group is already configured but it is offline on the secondary site cluster.
The IP addresses for the cluster and for the ClusterService Service group do not match. Configuring a GCO means assigning a virtual IP address to that particular cluster. This IP address is set in 2 places during configuration.
        1.      The IP address for the cluster is set in the ? attribute for the cluster properties.
        2.      A ClusterService service group is configured. The IP resource in the ClusterService service group is configured using this same address.
If the IP address set for GCO communication does not match in these 2 places, no GCO communication can be set up across 2 sites.
Solutions
The following actions may apply:
Verify that the IP address set for the cluster and that of the IP resource in the ClusterService service group is same.
Bring online the ClusterService service group.
If the IP addresses do not match, two cases may arise:
        1.      The IP address for the ClusterService service group is incorrect:
              a.      Offline the ClusterService service group.
              b.      Change the IP address for the IP resource to the correct IP address value.
              c.      Online the ClusterService service group.
        2.      The IP address for the primary cluster is incorrect:
              a.      Go to the Properties section of the primary cluster.
              b.      Change the IP address for the primary cluster.
