Error Code details
V-61-49872-102
Severity: Error
Component: Volume Manager
Message:
Volume %1 could not be allocated due to insufficient space.
Description:
Description: The vxvoladm command is returning an error because the given constraints do not satisfy the request. This issue can occur for the following reasons: * If the command requests a mirrored volume and there is not enough space to create the second mirror on a separate disk. * If the command requests, for example, a five-way stripe, but only four disks exist in the disk group. These are the most common causes for the error; however, there are other reasons it may occur.

Recommended Action: Do one of the following:

Add more disks to meet the requested layout. For example, add another disk to create enough space for the required number of stripes.

Remove or reduce the constraints so that you can create the volume on the existing set of disks in the disk group.
