Message:
Unable to connect to cluster node. Please verify the following: - The cluster node name or IP address is valid and the node is switched on and accessible over the network. - The specified user credentials are valid and the user has administrative privileges on the specified node. - The firewall setting allow access on the required ports. - The Veritas High availability engine service is running on the specified node.
Description:

This error message is displayed when you perform a rolling upgrade on a cluster node using the rolling upgrade wizard. To perform the rolling upgrade, the following conditions must be met:
 

  • The cluster node name or IP address, which you specify on the Cluster Details panel, should be valid.
     
  • The cluster node should be switched on and accessible over the network.
     
  • The cluster user account credentials should be valid.
     
  • The user account must have local administrator privileges on the cluster node. The wizard discovers only those nodes where the user has the required permissions.
     
  • The firewall settings allow access to the services and ports used by Veritas Cluster Server (VCS). 
     
  • The Veritas High Availability Engine service is running on the specified node.
     

If any of these conditions are not met, the wizard cannot proceed with the upgrade.
