Error Code details
V-72-9-155
Severity: Error
Component: Product Installer for Windows
Message:
Unable to detect Microsoft Failover Cluster (FOC) configured on the system(s). The installer will install the selected SFW option for Microsoft Failover Cluster.
Description:

This message is displayed when you install Veritas Storage Foundation for Windows (SFW) on a system on which Microsoft Failover Cluster is not configured.

SFW supports clustering with Microsoft Failover Cluster.

If you want to upgrade to SFW, or perform a fresh installation of SFW, verify that Microsoft Failover clustering is configured on all the systems on which you want to install SFW. This enables SFW to install Microsoft cluster resources such as Volume Manager disk groups and other shared resources.

If Microsoft Failover Cluster is not configured, you can choose to configure it before you install SFW. You can also select this option even if Microsoft clustering is not configured. If you select this option and Microsoft clustering is not configured, you must manually register the Volume Manager Disk Group (VMDg) and replicated volume group (RVG) resources when you configure the service groups and resources.

For more information about planning an SFW installation with a Microsoft cluster, see the Veritas Storage Foundation Administrator’s Guide.
