  1. Use the DiskPart command-line disk partition utility to set the disk to read/write access. Enter:

    C:\>diskpart
    DISKPART> select disk disk_number
    DISKPART> attribute disk clear readonly

    Note: If the problem persists, check the event log and report the problem to the hardware storage vendor.
     
  2. Use the Write Signature command to add the signature. Right-click the unsigned disk, and then click Write Signature.
