Message:
Node is not part of the cluster, or failed to ship the command to master node. Please check the cluster GAB configuration.
Description:

This message is displayed when a command shipping message sent to the Master node fails. This happens because of one or more of the following reasons:
 

  • The port u is not registered or Global Atomic Broadcast (GAB) cannot write data to the port.
     
  • The cluster is not active.

Try one or more of the following to resolve this issue:
 

  • Check the Cluster Volume Manager (CVM) cluster state and retry the operation. You can check the cluster state with the vxclustadm nidmap command.
     
  • If the problematic node is out of the cluster, you may try adding the node to the cluster using the vxclustadm startnode command, and then retry the operation.
     
  • If the nodes are in the Joining state, it means the node reconfiguration is in progress. Let the nodes be joined as Slaves or Master, and then retry the operation.
