Description

This message appears if a handle is present on a volume that is located on one of the disks within the diskgroup when the deport operation is initiated.

Solution

Close any application or process that is maintaining a handle on the volume. Use handle.exe, a Microsoft utility, to determine which process is maintaining a handle on the volume.

In Storage Foundation for Windows (SFW) 4.3, a known issue may cause this behavior even if there are no handles on the volume. This issue is addressed by installing Maintenance Pack 2 (MP2) for Storage Foundation for Windows 4.3.
