 To solve this problem:

  1. Make sure the Virtual Disk Service (VDS) is running. If the VDS service is not running, start it using this command:

    net start vds

  2. Update information. Enter:

    vxassist refresh

    In the given context, this command checks for the VDS service, destroys the older interface pointer to the VDS service, and creates a new one.
