If you ran the installation script from the CDROM:

  1. Check if the package or patch file is actually absent from the directory
     
  2. If the file exists, unpack it to a temp directory to determine if the file is corrupted.
     
  3. If the file does not exist or it is corrupted, call Veritas Technical Support for help.

If you ran the installation script from the local disk:

  1. Check if the package or patch file is actually absent from the directory.
     
  2. If the file exists, check its permission bits to determine if anyone can read it.
     
  3. If the file does not exist, get it from the production CDROM.
     
  4. If you cannot find the file on the production CDROM, call Veritas Technical Support for help.
