Description:

This message displays when you are running the SORT data collector, and the following conditions are true:

 

  • You are collecting data from the host on which the data collector is installed (local host).
     
  • Your are running data collector version 3.1.20101215 or earlier. To confirm the data collector version, enter:

    # cat ./vos/advanced/dc_version
     
  • The host is running Solaris.
     
  • The Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) Low Latency Transport (LLT) component is using UDP rather than TCP.

Upgrade the SORT data collector to version 3.2.2011xxxx or later.

 

Do one of the following:
 

  • Download https://sort.veritas.com/dc_download/get_dc/sol_sparc to your desk top, then use binary mode ftp to transfer the file to the server.
     
  • Download the data collector file directly to your server. For example:

    # wget https://sort.veritas.com/data/vos/collectors/vos_sol_sparc.sh
     
  • Start your current data collector. Enter:

    ./vos/vosdc

    When you're asked whether to download the latest version of the data collector, enter y.
     

Note: To use the second or third options, your server must be directly  connected to the internet.
