This patch fixes the following incidents:

SYMPTOM:
SnapMirrorCM agent cannot start with InfoScale 7.3.1 on Windows.

DESCRIPTION:
The VCS agent for cluster-mode SnapMirror requires some specific modules for its operation, which are not present in VRTSPerl with InfoScale 7.3.1 on Windows. The agent fails to start because the required modules cannot be loaded.

RESOLUTION:
This hotfix updates VRTSPerl with the missing modules that are required by SnapMirrorCM. Install the MSI file.



INSTALLING THE PATCH
--------------------
This package contains a compressed file that includes the VRTSPerl MSI package.
Download the ZIP file to a temporary location on your system and extract it.

To install the updated VRTSPerl
--------------------------------

1. Stop VCS on the current node:
   hastop -local -force

2. You can install VRTSPerl on server systems in one of the following ways:
   - Using the GUI, double-click the MSI file and follow the on-screen instructions.
   - Using the CLI, navigate to the location where you extracted the file, and run the MSI file. For example:
     C:\> msiexec /i VRTSPerl.msi ALLUSERS=1 ARPSYSTEMCOMPONENT=1 REBOOT=ReallySuppress INSTALLDIR="C:\Program Files\Veritas\VRTSPerl" INSTALLDIR_BASE="C:\Program Files\Veritas\" OSVER=W2K12R2 OSARCH=x64 SERVERCORE=0 /qb /L*v C:\perl.txt
     Note that the INSTALLDIR, INSTALLDIR_BASE, OSVER values may change according to your setup.

3. Start VCS:
   hastart

4. Verify that the SnapMirrorCM agent starts.


REMOVING THE PATCH

Veritas recommends that you do not uninstall this MSI.
