SYMPTOM:
Stale firedrill schedules giving misleading errors while trying to delete it.

DESCRIPTION:
User is not able to delete the firedrill schedule if its corresponding service group is being deleted.

RESOLUTION:
User can delete the firedrill schedule irrespective of its service group.

SYMPTOM:
You may see that Powershell execution policy changes to "RemoteSigned" when you add a VIOM Agent to VIOM CMS.

DESCRIPTION:
You may see that Powershell execution policy changes to "RemoteSigned" when you add a VIOM Agent to VIOM CMS. This issue occurs during VCS family discovery.
We do set execution policy to "RemoteSigned" but does not set it back to original once VCS family discovery is done.

RESOLUTION:
We are setting execution policy to original once VCS family discovery is done.

VIOM user was unable to access perspective when user was added to more than one group and has different permissions in each group.

DESCRIPTION:
VIOM user was unable to access perspective if user has permissions for different perspectives in different group.

RESOLUTION:
Added changes to handle scenario when user is added in more than one group and has different permission for each group.

Manage ApplicationHA menu missing when you right click on a host in Server perspective.

DESCRIPTION:
In case, you are having Application HA running on the host and try to perform Application HA operation from VIOM GUI, you may not find the operation in menu.

Fixed the issue.

DESCRIPTION:
In VIOM, you may not get email alerts for MPIO path failure.

RESOLUTION:
Added support for MPIO path failure alert.

Control Host add-on installation failed with Perl errors.

DESCRIPTION:
Control Host add-on installation failed with errors due to Perl errors were not handled correctly.

DESCRIPTION:
Oracle discovery hangs because oracle user .profile presents a menu instead of shell prompt.

User can execute vulnerable SQL code through VIOM URL and can obtain

RESOLUTION:
Made changes to filter suspicious code in SQL.

SYMPTOM:
VIOM CMS GUI shows that add Managed Hosts task takes lots of time to complete.

DESCRIPTION:
VIOM CMS GUI shows that add Managed Hosts task takes lots of time to complete.
This issue may occur if there are many nodes in a cluster.

RESOLUTION:
The issue was due to InfoScale command taking more time to complete. As a fix, we 
are not executing the command at the time of add host. We have also increased 
command execution interval from 3 hours to 12 hours.

SYMPTOM:
hbaapp may core on Linux MH if they have HP Logical Volumes.

DESCRIPTION:
hbaapp binary may generate core dump while discovering HP Logical Volumes on Linux MHs.

RESOLUTION:
Added fix to prevent core dump.

SYMPTOM:
VIOM CMS GUI does not show dmp alerts when dmp path is removed on windows 
MH.

DESCRIPTION:
DMP based alert does not appear under alerts and rules page when dmp path is 
removed on windows mh.

RESOLUTION:
Fixed the issue by taking into account the path count and raising an alert 
when path count is decreased for windows MH.

SYMPTOM:
After making changes on Overview and Inventory tabs, like add/remove a portlet, the change is 
not persistent after logging out and logging back in.

DESCRIPTION:
After making changes on Overview and Inventory tabs, like add/remove a portlet, the change is 
not persistent after logging out and logging back in.

RESOLUTION:
Fixed the issue in Global dashboard for Overview and Inventory tabs.

VRTSsfmh patch deployment on AIX servers from VIOM CMS may fail. You may see that 
after patch install operation, AIX server may go in disconnected state.

DESCRIPTION:
VRTSsfmh patch deployment on AIX servers from VIOM CMS may fail. You may see that 
after patch install operation, AIX server may go in disconnected state.

RESOLUTION:
The issue was due to error thrown by xprtld process during patch installation. 
Fixed the issue by handling starting of process.

${sys:vom.log} directory created in folder from where VIOM services started/stopped.

DESCRIPTION:
${sys:vom.log} directory created in folder from where VIOM services started/stopped on Linux CMS.

RESOLUTION:
made changes in log4j configuration file to resolve issue.

SYMPTOM:
On VIOM Linux CMS, after applying patch 7.3.1.300 or lower, you may see that 
Disks, Disk Groups and Volumes discovery does not work for CMS server.

DESCRIPTION:
On VIOM Linux CMS, after applying patch 7.3.1.300 or lower, you may see that 
Disks, Disk Groups and Volumes discovery does not work for CMS server. This is 
due to /opt/VRTSsfmh/bin/vxlist command does not work.

RESOLUTION:
Changed the backup location of vxdclid plugins at the time of patch installation 
on VIOM CMS.

DESCRIPTION:
Rename volume operation is not working and blank page appear after clicking finish button

RESOLUTION:
made changes in JSON data handling during operation.

security scan detected world writable directories and files which belong to VRTSsfmh package

DESCRIPTION:
It was detected by CCS(Infosec scan) scan, and customer asking if they safely change the permissions to 755.  They also request to change it in future release

RESOLUTION:
Made changes for setting permission to 0755

DESCRIPTION:
NEW FEATURE
- Automatically select the target enclosure disks.
- Remove the source enclosure disks once the migration is completed.
Make sure to install or upgrade the Storage Provisioning and Enclosure Migration Add-on to use this feature successfully.

INSTALLING THE PATCH
--------------------
IMPORTANT NOTE : Please take a backup of the database using the instructions given in the Installation and Configuration guide before installing this Hotfix.

This Hotfix is applicable for VOM 7.4 Managed Hosts as well as VOM 7.4 Management Server.


1. Download the file vom-7.4.0.300.sfa
2. Launch a browser and login to the VIOM management server.
3. Navigate to Settings ->                       Deployment Icon.
4. Upload the Hotfix to the VIOM CMS using the "Upload Solutions" button.
   The Hotfix vom-7.4.0.300 should be visible in the Hot Fixes tree node.
5. Please install this Hotfix on CS using the following instructions:
    - Go to Settings ->                      Deployment ->                      Hot Fixes ->                      Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager Managed Host.
    - Click on Hot Fixes Tab. Click on Applicable Hosts Tab.
    - Right click on CS Name and click on Install.


REMOVING THE PATCH
------------------
Un-installation and rollback of this Hotfix is supported only on Solaris 11 and AIX platforms.
