This patch fixes the following incidents:

* 3980547 (Tracking ID: 3989826)

SYMPTOM:
Oracle 19c does not support for DBED.

DESCRIPTION:
Oracle 19c does not support for DBED.

RESOLUTION:
Oracle 19c support is enabled for DBED.



INSTALLING THE PATCH
--------------------
Run the Installer script to automatically install the patch:
-----------------------------------------------------------
Please be noted that the installation of this P-Patch will cause downtime.

To install the patch perform the following steps on at least one node in the cluster:
1. Copy the patch dbed-sol11_sparc-Patch-7.4.1.1100.tar.gz to /tmp
2. Untar dbed-sol11_sparc-Patch-7.4.1.1100.tar.gz to /tmp/hf
    # mkdir /tmp/hf
    # cd /tmp/hf
    # gunzip /tmp/dbed-sol11_sparc-Patch-7.4.1.1100.tar.gz
    # tar xf /tmp/dbed-sol11_sparc-Patch-7.4.1.1100.tar
3. Install the hotfix(Please be noted that the installation of this P-Patch will cause downtime.)
    # pwd /tmp/hf
    # ./installVRTSdbed741P1100 [<host1> <host2>...]

You can also install this patch together with 7.4.1 base release using Install Bundles
1. Download this patch and extract it to a directory
2. Change to the Veritas InfoScale 7.4.1 directory and invoke the installer script
   with -patch_path option where -patch_path should point to the patch directory
    # ./installer -patch_path [<path to this patch>] [<host1> <host2>...]

Install the patch manually:
--------------------------
1.Stop the vxdbd daemon
    #/opt/VRTS/bin/sfae_config disable
2.Change to the directory where the patch is located and install the patch using the below commands:
    # cd fix_directory;       
    # pkg set-publisher -g /fix_dir/patches/VRTSdbed.p5p Veritas
Install the package
pkg install --accept --no-backup-be VRTSdbed
3. Verify that the new patch is installed by executing below command and verify the output.
    Example
    # pkg info VRTSdbed
4.Start the vxdbd daemon
  /opt/VRTS/bin/sfae_config enable


REMOVING THE PATCH
------------------
Removal of the patch will result in removing the entire package 
from the system/node. To go back to a previous installed version 
of the package, you may need to re-install the package.
Run the following steps on all the nodes:

To remove the patch 
--------------------
1.Stop the vxdbd daemon
    #/opt/VRTS/bin/sfae_config disable
2.Remove/reject the patch:
a. If you have local zones on the system, uninstall the VRTSvcs package and its dependent packages from all local zones in which it is present (repeat with set to each local zone in which VRTSvcsag is installed):
# zlogin pkg uninstall VRTSdbed
b. Once the package is uninstalled from all local zones, uninstall the VRTSvcs package and its dependent packages from the global zone:
# pkg uninstall VRTSdbed

3.Verify that the patch is uninstalled from the node:
    # pkg info VRTSdbed
    If the patch was successfully uninstalled, there will be no output.
4.Install the VRTSdbed 7.4.1 package from the installation media.  
5.Start the vxdbd daemon
  /opt/VRTS/bin/sfae_config enable


SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
--------------------
If a local zone is in 'configured' state while the VRTSdbed package
is being updated, then the package is not updated in local zone. To update
packages inside a local zone, set the publisher on the global zone and execute
the below command (repeat per zone as needed):
# zoneadm -z attach -u
