* 3992912 (Tracking ID: 3992911)

SYMPTOM:
Simplifying the license meter calculation based on the NCORE calculation.

DESCRIPTION:
A new license meter(PER CORE PLUS) has been introduced, to simplify License Calculation of InfoScale.
Earlier, InfoScale used to charge customers based on the core-to-license and Ncore values. For license deployed only on virtual machine the core-to-license was minimum of #cores of virtual-server and sum of VCPUS of virtual machines on which same product was installed.
This has been simplified in new meter, now cores of the machines(be it physical or virtual) are simply considered as NCORE. There is no minimum of cores calculation between VCPUS and virtual-server. In VIOM GUI (Licensing->Deployment Details'), you can refer to 'NCore to license' values.

RESOLUTION:
Core of the machines are considered as NCORE. Dependency on virtualization server's core is removed while calculating NCORE in InfoScale Licensing.
