This patch fixes the following escalations and associated incidents:

   e1805645:  PRI 2: Titan 320-216-100: VCSOne 2.0: 
   VRTSatlocal.conf.lock file preventing ha commands from running in farm


ISSUE FIXED BY THE PATCH
------------------------
Fix for e1805645 to forcefully take away the lock, if it
is held by another process for a long time.


EXTRACTING THE PATCH
--------------------
To extract the patch:

1.  Download the patch from the Symantec Support website and copy the 
    .tar.gz file for Solaris to the desired directory location:
    # cp <patch_name.tar.gz> .

2.  Unzip the compressed patch files:
    # gunzip *.gz

3.  Extract the compressed patch files from the tar files:
    # tar -xvf <file_name.tar>


INSTALLING THE PATCH
--------------------
To install the patch:

1. Identify the nodes on which the Policy Master Service Group (PMSG) is offline.

2. Log on as superuser on any one of these nodes.

3. Install the patch: 
   # patchadd 143715-01

4. Verify that the new patch has been installed using:
   # showrev -p | grep 143715-01
   If the patch installs correctly, the following output should be displayed:
        Patch: 143715-01 Obsoletes: Requires: Incompatibles: Packages: VRTSvcsoneut

5. Repeat steps 2 and 3 on the other nodes where the PMSG is offline.

6. Switch PMSG to any of the above nodes where you installed the patch:
   # /opt/VRTSvcsone/bin/haadmin -switch -to <system>

7. Repeat steps 2 and 3 on the node where you have not installed the patch 
   (that is, the node on which the PMSG was earlier online).
