Errors/Problems Fixed: 

Appy this fix for any of the following issues:
  Symptoms:	- VCS Mountv resources hang during offline
                - registartion issues with agents in multiple ip, virtual ip and clustered
                  environments
                - agents not visible in the VEA GUI
        

  Cause: 	csf corba layer for communication between csf clients and agents were
                communicating over all ip
         
  Resolution: 	bypassed all the IP addresses used by the csf corba layer for
                communication between csf clients and agents now communicates over 127.0.0.1
                loopback address

Extract the hotfix
==================

The private can be extracted from a file in one of two ways:

* Method 1
  Double-click the hotfix. The private will be extracted and the install 
  wizard will automatically start and guide you through the installation 
  after the extraction has completed.

* Method 2
  Save your selected file to a local folder and then extract the hotfix
  with the /x option.  For example, enter the command in the c:\tmp 
  directory

  c:\tmp>Hotfix_3_3_1059_1836283_x86.exe /x
  
Hotfix files will be extracted to Hotfix_3_3_1059_1836283_x86 folder at:

on 32-bit system: "%CommonProgramFiles%\Veritas Shared\WxRTPrivates"

Install the hotfix
==================

If its a MSCS HA environment, please apply the fix on the passive node first,
since it stops the clusssvc cluster service which will cause failover.


1.pre-requisites
  --------------

a. To install the hotfix, Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0 need to be 
installed first. Please download and install MSXML 6.0 before installing 
the hotfix.  Refer to the following link for more information:

Microsoft posted service pack and/or security updates for Core XML 
Services 6.0.  Please contact Microsoft or refer to Microsoft web-site to 
download and install latest updates to Core XML Services 6.0.


2. Options to Install/Uninstall the hotfix
   ---------------------------------------
Start a command window and change 'current directory' to where this hotfix is extracted (i.e. Hotfix_3_3_1059_1836283).

To install the hotfix using GUI, run the following command:

	vxhf.exe /install:Hotfix_3_3_1059_1836283

	Note: Hotfix installer wizard will launch and guide you through the installation.

To install the hotfix in quiet-mode, run the following command:

	vxhf.exe /install:Hotfix_3_3_1059_1836283 /silent

To uninstall the hotfix using GUI, run the following command:

	vxhf.exe /uninstall:Hotfix_3_3_1059_1836283 

	Note: Hotfix installer wizard will launch and guide you through the uninstallation.

To uninstall the hotfix in quiet-mode, run the following command:

	vxhf.exe /uninstall:Hotfix_3_3_1059_1836283  /silent

3. Miscellaneous
   -------------
To confirm the installation, run the following command:

	vxhf.exe /list

	Note:  Output will list the hotfixes installed in your setup.

To display information about the hotfix, run the following command:

	vxhf.exe /display:Hotfix_3_3_1059_1836283

Hotfix installer creates and stores log file (VxHF.TXT)at %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Veritas\VxHF.
