INCIDENTS FIXED BY THE PATCH

This patch fixes the following Symantec incidents:

* 2282740 (Tracking ID: 2293546)

SYMPTOM:
VOM incorrectly shows the cluster type as RAC if a cluster contains a failover
service group for Oracle.

DESCRIPTION:
The VOM discovery agent logic had a defect wherein the Oracle report type is
incorrectly set to RAC.

RESOLUTION:
Properly set the report type to RAC for Parallel Oracle service groups in a VCS
cluster.


INSTALLING THE PATCH
--------------------
1. Download the file "HF030183000-03.sfa".
2. Launch a browser and login to the VOM management server.
3. Navigate to "Settings ->   Deployment Management ->   Add-ons" tab.
4. Upload the add-on to the VOM CMS using the "upload" button.
5. For hosts that are already added to the VOM domain, follow the steps below to apply the hotfix:
 a) Once the add-on with the name HF030183000-03 is visible under the table below, the user can choose (via option "Install") to deploy this on the hosts.
 b) Select the hosts where the hotfix needs to be deployed.


REMOVING THE PATCH
------------------
1. Launch a browser and login to the VOM management server.
2. Navigate to "Settings ->   Deployment Management ->   Add-ons" tab.
3. Select the add-on and click "Uninstall"
