This patch fixes the following Symantec incidents:

SYMPTOM:
After upgrade from VOM 3.x to VOM 4.0, vom_bkup.pl fails showing "Out of memory!". No backup is possible.

DESCRIPTION:
HF HF040010970-05.sfa is applicable for VOM 3.x and VOM 4.0 across Linux and Solaris platforms.

HF HF040010970-05 addresses the following issue:
vom_bkup.pl fails showing "Out of memory!".

RESOLUTION:
Use native tar and gzip to backup files.

INSTALLING THE PATCH
--------------------
This hotfix is applicable for VOM Central Server. 
It has to be installed on the VOM CMS. 

1. Download the file "HF040010970-05.sfa".
2. Launch a browser and login to the VOM management server.
3. Navigate to Settings -> Deployment Management tab.
4. Upload the add-on to the VOM CMS using the "upload" button.
   The HF HF040010970-05 should be visible in the table below.
5. Select the HF and install it. This will install/upgrade the /opt/VRTSsfmcs/config/adm/vom_bkup.pl file.
6. Instead of extracting vom_bkup.pl from VRTSsfmcs.bin and backup files using extracted vom_bkup.pl,
   back files using /opt/VRTSsfmcs/config/adm/vom_bkup.pl.

REMOVING THE PATCH
------------------
1. Launch a browser and login to the VOM management server.
2. Navigate to Settings -> Deployment Management tab.
3. Remove instruction for VOM CMS
   - Click the HF or add-on and it takes you to the Deployment Summary page
     Select VOM CMS host and uninstall the HF.
