This patch fixes the following Symantec incidents:

SYMPTOM:
IBM file systems tab does not display devices/volumes mounted on top of directories on an already mounted drive

DESCRIPTION:
HF HF040010970-11.sfa is applicable for VOM 4.0 across all central server platforms and Windows managed host.

HF HF040010970-11 addresses following issue:
IBM file systems tab does not display devices/volumes mounted on top of directories on an already mounted drive

RESOLUTION:
Set the DevicePath type of the folder mounted FS’s as “FileSystem”
instead of “MountPoint”


INSTALLING THE PATCH
--------------------
This hotfix is applicable for VOM Central Server and Windows managed hosts.
It has to be installed on the VOM CMS. 

1. Download the file "HF040010970-11.sfa".
2. Launch a browser and login to the VOM management server.
3. Navigate to Settings -> Deployment Management tab.
4. Upload the add-on to the VOM CMS using the "upload" button.
   The HF HF040010970-11 should be  visible in the table below.
5. HF install instruction for VOM CMS and VOM CMS that has HA setup:

   a. For VOM CMS that is NOT HA setup
      - Select the HF and install it.

   b. For VOM CMS that has HA setup
	- Select the HF and install it.

6. HF install instruction for VOM windows Managed hosts:
   - In the Deployment Management page, click on the HF HF040010970-11 and it will take you to the Deployment Summary page. Select the Windows managed host on which you want to apply the HF and install HF.

Note: This HF install restarts web server and db processes and hence it forces to log off the VOM GUI.  You have to login the VOM GUI again at every install. HF is not applicable for non Windows managed hosts. While installing on Managed hosts it will not restart web server or db processes. On LINUX CMS HA secondary node, UI may display HF installation in failed state which can be ignored.


REMOVING THE PATCH
------------------
1. Launch a browser and login to the VOM management server.
2. Navigate to Settings -> Deployment Management tab.
3. Remove instruction for VOM CMS and VOM CMS that has HA setup:
   a. For VOM CMS that is NOT HA setup
      - Click the HF and it takes you to the Deployment Summary page
        Select VOM CMS host and uninstall the HF.

   b. For VOM CMS that has HA setup, 
	- Click the HF and it takes you to the Deployment Summary page
        Select VOM HA CMS host and uninstall the HF.
