INCIDENTS FIXED BY THE PATCH

This patch fixes the following Symantec incidents:

Patch ID: HF040101190-06

* 2679054 (Tracking ID: 2679053)

SYMPTOM:
Server tier information is not being displayed correctly for Sun SPARC
servers in the deployed license host map report.

DESCRIPTION:
With different make and model of Sun SPARC servers the database
procedure to get the server tier information required to be updated.

RESOLUTION:
Updated the database procedure to get the correct server tier information.


INSTALLING THE PATCH
--------------------
This hotfix is applicable for VOM CMS.

1. Download the file HF040101190-06.sfa
2. Launch a browser and login to the VOM management server.
3. Navigate to Settings >   Deployment Management tab.
4. Upload the add-on to the VOM CMS using the Upload button.
   HF040101190-06 should be visible in the table below.
5. Select the HF and click the Install button.
6. The VOM webserver will be restarted. 
   User will need to relogin in VOM UI once the webserver is up.


REMOVING THE PATCH
------------------
1. Launch a browser and login to the VOM management server.
2. Navigate to Settings >   Deployment Management tab.
3. Remove instruction for VOM CMS
   - Click the HF and it takes you to the Deployment Summary page
   - Select VOM CMS host and uninstall the HF.


SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
--------------------
To update server tier information for already installed Solaris servers:
1. Launch a browser and login to the VOM management server.
2. Navigate to Licenses >   Deployment Summary tab.
3. Under Host deployment summary table click on the total hosts which will navigate to Hosts having license deployed.
4. Select the host for which the server tier information needs to be updated and click Assign Price Tier operation.
5. Select Automatically calculate Tier Information to update the server tier information.
