This patch fixes the following Symantec incidents:

SYMPTOM:
The vbs script is not handling passwords with special characters.

DESCRIPTION:
The vbs script used to send the user password is not handling passwords with 
special characters correctly.

RESOLUTION:
Modified the vbs script to handle passwords with special characters correctly.


INSTALLING THE PATCH
--------------------
This hotfix is applicable only for VOM 5.0 Managed Hosts those are configured as Control Host.

1. Download the file HF050001960-08.sfa
2. Launch a browser and login to the VOM management server.
3. Navigate to Settings ->      Deployment Management tab.
4. Upload the add-on to the VOM CMS using the "upload" button.
   The HF HF050001960-08 should be visible in the table below.
5. HF install instructions
    - In the Deployment Management page,  click on the HF HF050001960-08 and it will take you to the Deployment Summary page. Select the 5.0 Managed hosts on which you want to apply the HF and click on the Install button.


REMOVING THE PATCH
------------------
1. Launch a browser and login to the VOM management server.
2. Navigate to Settings ->      Deployment Management tab.
3. Remove instruction for HF
   - In the Deployment Management page, click on the HF HF050001960-08 and it will take you to the Deployment Summary page. Select the 5.0  managed host/s on which the status shown is "Enabled" (HF installed) and click on Uninstall button.
