INCIDENTS FIXED BY THE PATCH

This patch fixes the following Symantec incidents:

Patch ID: HF050001960-10

* 2930831 (Tracking ID: 2923139)

SYMPTOM:
vomgather archives logs with DB and store which makes archive very large and
takes long time to archive.

DESCRIPTION:
vomgather collects all data in var dir including DB and stores directory. This
increases the size of the archive and it takes long time to archive.

RESOLUTION:
Modifed vomgather.pl and vom_bkup.pl with default option to not collect DB 
and stores and provide an option "--full" to collect everything including DB and
stores.

* 2969824 (Tracking ID: 2981329)

SYMPTOM:
DB is getting collected multiple times with vombackup utility in HA environment.

DESCRIPTION:
During HA configuration old var dirs are archived into SFMha_dir/SFMha.tar.
During backup, this file is also getting backed up, this causes backing up of DB
multiple times.

RESOLUTION:
Modified vom_bkup.pl to exclude the SFMha.tar and collect only single copy of DB.


INSTALLING THE PATCH
--------------------
This hotfix is applicable for Linux, Solaris and Windows VOM Management Server.

1. Download the file HF050001960-10.sfa
2. Launch a browser and login to the VOM Management Server.
3. Navigate to Settings; Deployment Management tab.
4. Upload the HF or add-on to the VOM CMS. HF050001960-10 should be visible in the table below.
5. Select the HF and click the Install button.
6. This will install the HF on the CMS. 
7. The VOM webserver will be restarted. User will need to relogin in VOM UI once the webserver is up.


REMOVING THE PATCH
------------------
1. Launch a browser and login to the VOM Management Server.
2. Navigate to Settings; Deployment Management tab.
3. Remove instruction for HF from VOM CMS
   - Click the HF or add-on and it takes you to the Deployment Summary page
     Select VOM CMS host and uninstall the HF.
