INCIDENTS FIXED BY THE PATCH

This patch fixes the following Symantec incidents:

* 3011375 (Tracking ID: 3011197)

SYMPTOM:
Incorrect capacities are reported in VOM console for some tablespaces of
Oracle database.

DESCRIPTION:
If there are Oracle tablespaces with same matching names across
multiple Oracle database on the same host, then the vom oracle-agentlet added up
the capacities for these samename Oracle tablespaces.

RESOLUTION:
The code has been changed to not aggregate the capacities of these
same name Oracle tablespace.


INSTALLING THE PATCH
--------------------
This hotfix is applicable for VOM MH

Note: Installing the HF on CMS will restart the VOM UI console. The existing UI sessions will be lost.
It is not required to install the HF on CMS, unless there is Oracle Database discovery happening on the CMS.
If the HF is to be installed on CMS, first install the HF on CMS and only then on the MHs
If the Oracle Database is consuming storage from ASM, it is recommended to install VOM HSCL Pack 1 Addon. Without the HSCL Pack 1 Addon, if this HF is installed, the ASM files will no longer be discovered.

1. Download the HF file HF050001960-14.sfa
2. Launch a browser and login to the VOM Management Server Console.
3. Navigate to Settings >   Deployment Management tab.
4. Upload the add-on to the VOM CMS using the Upload button.
   HF050001960-14 should be visible in the table below.
5. Click on the HF from the table below and all the 5.0 MHs will be listed on which the HF is applicable. Select the host/s and select install.


REMOVING THE PATCH
------------------
1. Launch a browser and login to the VOM Management Server Console.
2. Navigate to Settings; Deployment Management tab.
3. Remove instruction for HF from VOM CMS
   - Click on the HF HF050001960-14 and it takes you to the Deployment Summary page
     Select the VOM MH/s that you want to uninstall the HF from

Note: Uninstalling the HF from CMS will restart the VOM UI console. The existing UI sessions will be lost.
