SYMPTOM:
6.0.2 Guest Components installation on Windows Server 2012 fails with an unsupported OS error. This occurs when you launch the installer from the vSphere Client menu.

DESCRIPTION:
The Symantec High Availability Console 6.0.1 does not support Windows Server 2012. As a result of this you cannot use the Guest Components installation option from the vSphere Client menu to install the 6.0.2 guest components on a Windows Server 2012 system.

RESOLUTION:
This hotfix adds Windows Server 2012 as a supported OS for the installation of 6.0.2 Guest Components.
After installing this hotfix, you can install the 6.0.2 guest components on a Windows Server 2012 system from the vSphere Client.
Notes:
- Installation of the 6.0.1 Console itself is not supported on Windows Server 2012.
- To install 6.0.2 guest components from the vSphere Client menu, you must first install this hotfix, copy the 6.0.2 guest components installation package from the product software disc and then follow the installation steps.
