INCIDENTS FIXED BY THE PATCH

This patch fixes the following Symantec incidents:

Patch ID: HF050001960-20.sfa

* 3082055 (Tracking ID: 3082055)

SYMPTOM:

A user can view the uploaded scripts without logging into VOM

DESCRIPTION:

A user logs into VOM first and get the url to view scripts. After the user logout, the user can still use the url to access the script. 
The user can modify the url and view scripts in other directories as well.

RESOLUTION:

Validate the user before showing the scripts. only files within the script directory can be accessed



INSTALLING THE PATCH
--------------------
This hotfix is applicable for VOM CMS.

1. Pre-req is that scripting add-on v5.0 has to installed on the CMS.
2. Download the file HF050001960-20.sfa.
3. Launch a browser and login to the VOM Management Server.
4. Navigate to Settings; Deployment Management tab.
5. Upload the HF to the VOM CMS.
   HF050001960-20 should be visible in the table below.
6. Select the HF and click the Install button.
7. This will install the HF on the CMS
8. As part of the HF install process, the VOM webserver will be restarted.


REMOVING THE PATCH
------------------
1. Launch a browser and login to the VOM management server.
2. Navigate to Settings; Deployment Management tab.
3. Remove instruction for VOM HF
   - Click the HF and it takes you to the Deployment Summary page
     Select HF and uninstall the HF from VOM CMS.
