DETAILS OF INCIDENTS FIXED BY THE PATCH

This patch fixes the following Symantec incidents:

Patch ID: HF050001960-19

* 3073174 (Tracking ID: 3079981)

SYMPTOM:
vomgather is failing due to out of memory errors

DESCRIPTION:
vomgather archive logs with store which makes archive very large
and results in out of memory issue

RESOLUTION:
Excluded store directory from the archive.

KNOWN ISSUE: vomgather with --full option might result in out of memory issue. 
Workaround is to run vomgather without --full option



INSTALLING THE PATCH
--------------------
This hotfix is applicable for Linux, Solaris, Windows, HP and AIX VOM Management host.

Prerequisite: On CMS host, HF050001960-17 should be installed first.

1. Download the file HF050001960-19.sfa
2. Launch a browser and login to the VOM Management Server.
3. Navigate to Settings; Deployment Management tab.
4. Upload the HF or add-on to the VOM CMS. HF050001960-19 should be visible in the table below.
5. Select the HF and click the Install button.
6. This will install the HF on the host. 
7. The VOM webserver will be restarted. User will need to relogin in VOM UI once the webserver is up.


REMOVING THE PATCH
------------------
1. Launch a browser and login to the VOM Management Server.
2. Navigate to Settings; Deployment Management tab.
3. Remove instruction for HF from VOM CMS
   - Click the HF or add-on and it takes you to the Deployment Summary page
     Select VOM CMS host and uninstall the HF.
