DETAILS OF INCIDENTS FIXED BY THE PATCH --------------------------------------- This patch fixes the following Symantec incidents: Patch ID: 6.1.1.1 * 3141221 (Tracking ID: 3154700) SYMPTOM: You cannot assign a policy to a Windows host even when the host has rotating password credentials. When you scan ESX clusters or servers, data may be displayed incorrectly in the scan coverage summary in the dashboard. Tickets related to the SQL Server backup files location security gap may be reopened after each scan. DESCRIPTION: Fixes a bug that prevents assigning a policy to Windows hosts on the Manage Host Connectivity Policies tab even when the policy does not contain a rotating password credential. Fixes a bug in which storage array scanning errors are not displayed. Fixes a bug that occurs when you selectively choose which ESX clusters to scan. The comparison module shows all the ESX clusters, even those that were not marked for scanning. Fixes a bug that occurs when more than one vCenter exists, and you selectively choose which ESX server to scan. The bug causes the first vCenter to be scanned twice. Fixes a bug that occurs when you selectively choose which ESX clusters to scan. The dashboard displays incorrect data in the scan coverage summary. Fixes a bug that occurs when you configure business entities hierarchies. The dashboard and the business entity coverage report show data only for the top business entity. Fixes a bug in the SQL Server backup files location gap that causes these tickets to reopen after each scan. RESOLUTION: Symantec has modified the code and scripts to address these issues. INSTALLING THE PATCH -------------------- INSTALLING THE PATCH -------------------- To install the patch: 1. Download patch DRA_6.1.1.1_HF1.exe. 2. On the master DRA server, stop the Web server software. Make sure you have administrator privileges and enter: # net stop TomcatWatchDog # net stop tomcat6 3. Locate the DRA folder. Enter: # net start tomcat6 # net start TomcatWatchDog 8. Login to DRA. 10. Verify that the build number is correct. On the DRA main screen, click "About." The build number should be 33249. REMOVING THE PATCH ------------------ UNINSTALLING THE PATCH ---------------------- Note: Symantec strongly recommends that you install the patch.
