This patch fixes the following Symantec incidents:

SYMPTOM:
The Application Monitoring Configuration Wizard of Symantec ApplicationHA 6.0 
does not support SAP NetWeaver 7.1 or later.

DESCRIPTION:
Symantec ApplicationHA 6.0 supports configuration of SAP application instances 
up to SAP NetWeaver 7.0. There is an enhancement requirement to support 
instances of SAP NetWeaver 7.1 and later.

RESOLUTION:
Symantec has modified the Symantec High Availability Agent for SAP NetWeaver to 
extend discovery and wizard-based configuration support to SAP NetWeaver 7.1 
and later releases.



INSTALLING THE PATCH
--------------------
Before you install the patch, please make sure that ApplicationHA 6.0 is installed on the system.To enable support for SAP NetWeaver 7.1 or later, please install VRTSsapwebas71 package along with VRTSvcsvmw patch.

Perform the following steps for installing the patch on all the nodes:

 1. Download patch for VRTSvcsvmw from Symantec.
    Change the directory to the download location. 
    Install the VRTSvcsvmw patch using following command.

       # rpm -Uvh VRTSvcsvmw-6.0.004.100-GA_{OSPLAT}.{ARCH}.rpm

          Where, 
          OSPLAT can be RHEL5, RHEL6, SLES10 or SLES11
          ARCH can be i586 for SLES10 and i686 for others
        
 2. Run the following command to verify if the new patch has been installed:
       # rpm -q VRTSvcsvmw
    
    If the proper patch is installed, the following output is displayed:
   
       VRTSvcsvmw-6.0.004.100-GA_{OSPLAT}.{ARCH}

          Where, 
          OSPLAT can be RHEL5, RHEL6, SLES10 or SLES11
          ARCH can be i586 for SLES10 and i686 for others


 3. Download package for VRTSsapwebas71 from Symantec SORT. Please use link "https://sort.symantec.com/agents/detail/5229" to download.
    Change the directory to the download location. 
    Install the VRTSsapwebas71 package using following command.
       # rpm -ivh VRTSsapwebas71-5.0.9.0-GA_GENERIC.noarch.rpm

 4. Run the following command to verify if the new package has been installed:
       # rpm -q VRTSsapwebas71
    
    If the proper package is installed, the following output is displayed:
       VRTSsapwebas71-5.0.9.0-GA_GENERIC.noarch


REMOVING THE PATCH
------------------
Removal of the patch will result in removing the whole package from the
system/node.  To go back to a previous installed version of the package,
you will need to re-install the package.

 To remove the patch from a node
 ---------------------------------------

 Run steps 1 - 5 on each node.

 1. Remove the package by using the following command:
        # rpm -e VRTSvcsvmw

 2. To verify that the package has been removed from the system, execute the
    command 
        # rpm -qa | grep VRTSvcsvmw
    
    and confirm that no output is produced.

 3. Remove the package by using the following command:
        # rpm -e VRTSsapwebas71

 4. To verify that the package has been removed from the system, execute the
    command 
        # rpm -qa | grep VRTSsapwebas71
    
    and confirm that no output is produced.


 5. Install the VRTSvcsvmw package from the ApplicationHA 6.0 installation media or latest AgentPack.


SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
--------------------
Before you install the patch, please make sure that ApplicationHA 6.0 is installed on the system. To enable support for SAP NetWeaver 7.1 or later, please install VRTSsapwebas71 package along with VRTSvcsvmw 6.0.004.100 package.
