Veritas Disaster Recovery Advisor 6.1.2HF3 Hot Fix

OPERATING SYSTEMS SUPPORTED BY THE PATCH

Windows 64-bit

BASE PRODUCT VERSIONS FOR THE PATCH

   * Veritas Disaster Recovery Advisor 6.1.2

SUMMARY OF INCIDENTS FIXED BY THE PATCH

Patch ID: 6.1.2HF3
* 3319255 (3319228) Cannot connect to Oracle Enterprise Manager using a connection URL.

DETAILS OF INCIDENTS FIXED BY THE PATCH
---------------------------------------
This patch fixes the following Symantec incidents:

Patch ID: 6.1.2HF3

* 3319255 (Tracking ID: 3319228)

SYMPTOM:
Connecting to Oracle OEM server using connection URL fails.

DESCRIPTION:
Support connecting to the Oracle Enterprise Manager using connection
URL rather than the current method of using IP and SID. Simply enter
CONNECT_URL@<URL> in the IP address field instead of <SID>@<IP>.
For example,
CONNECT_URL@(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=oem1)(PORT=1521))(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVER=DEDICATED)(SERVICE_NAME=oemdb)))

RESOLUTION:
Symantec has modified the code and scripts to address these issues.

INSTALLING THE PATCH
--------------------
1.Download patch DRA_6.1.2_HF3.exe.
2.On the master DRA server, stop the web server software.
Make sure you have administrator privileges and enter:
# net stop TomcatWatchDog
# net stop tomcat6
3.Locate the DRA folder. By default, it's on the path:
C:Program FilesApache Software FoundationTomcat 6.0webapps
4.Make a copy of the DRA folder and store it in another location (do not store the copy under the webapps folder). The patch updates files in this folder, so if you need to revert to the unpatched version of DRA, you will need the original folder.

8.Start the web server. Enter:
# net start tomcat6
# net start TomcatWatchDog
9.Login to DRA.
10.Verify that the build number is correct. On the DRA main screen, click "About". The build number should be 34472.
