DETAILS OF INCIDENTS FIXED BY THE PATCH

This patch fixes the following Symantec incidents:

Patch ID: HF050001960-36

* 3270260 (Tracking ID: 3287518)

SYMPTOM:
VOM showing mirror enclosure warnings for SFW MH.

DESCRIPTION:
VOM was showing incorrect violations for Cross Enclosure policy check.

RESOLUTION:
Fixed the code to show correct violations for Cross Enclosure policy check.

* 3307549 (Tracking ID: 3308518)

SYMPTOM:
Cross Enclosure policy check on same enclosure did not ignore DRL log plex.

DESCRIPTION:
Cross Enclosure policy check was showing incorrect violations for the volumes 
containing DRL log plex.

RESOLUTION:
Fixed the code to ignore DRL and DCM log plex in Cross Enclosure policy check.

* 3321227 (Tracking ID: 3211741)

SYMPTOM:
Fire Drill task details failed to update appropriately for MHs.

DESCRIPTION:
While running HA Firedrill, if it fails to execute for some of the vfds, the output  
column was showing blank instead of the valid warning/error message.

RESOLUTION:
Fixed the HA Firedrill code to return correct output message in case of failures.



INSTALLING THE PATCH
--------------------
IMPORTANT NOTE : This hotfix is applicable only on top of HF050001960-35. Please install Hotfix HF050001960-35 before installing this hotfix.

This hotfix is applicable for VOM 5.0 Managed Hosts.

1. Download the file HF050001960-36.sfa
2. Launch a browser and login to the VOM management server.
3. Navigate to Settings ->      Deployment Management tab.
4. Upload the add-on to the VOM CMS using the "upload" button.
   The HF HF050001960-36 should be visible in the table below.
5. HF install instructions
    - In the Deployment Management page,  click on the HF HF050001960-36 and it will take you to the Deployment Summary page. Select the 5.0 Managed hosts on which you want to apply the HF and click on the Install button.


REMOVING THE PATCH
------------------
1. Launch a browser and login to the VOM management server.
2. Navigate to Settings ->      Deployment Management tab.
3. Remove instruction for HF
   - In the Deployment Management page, click on the HF HF050001960-36 and it will take you to the Deployment Summary page. Select the 5.0  managed host/s on which the status shown is "Enabled" (HF installed) and click on Uninstall button.
